Conference

In the framework of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a conference on the implementation of the probation Framework Decision has been organised in Durbuy (Belgium) on 8 and 9 July 2010.

This conference, which was attended by 65 participants from 25 EU Member States, was targeted at both the departments responsible for implementing the framework decisions on mutual recognition and those responsible for enforcing alternative sanctions and probation measures. It was the occasion to improve mutual knowledge of probation measures within each national system as well as to share information about the implementation and identifying legal and practical difficulties related to the implementation.
